Nigeria Archery Federation Held Her Elective Congress 2020

Nigeria Archery Federation held her elective congress in Abuja, FCT. At the congress, the Federation elected a new set of Board Members. 



The election was held on 10th March, 2020 at the auditorium of the Art and Culture center, FCT Abuja where new board of the Federation were elected and inaugurated shortly after the elections. The inauguration was conducted shortly after the winners were declared by Dr. Victor C. Odeme. (a Public Notary Professional)

The newly elected board members are to serve for a 4 year term until 2024.


These are  the achievements of the immediate past board in the last 4 years 

1. 2015 Workshop at University of Lagos (UNILAG): For Judges and Archers

2. 2016 Another workshop for Judges and Archers at UNILAG – Sponsored By World Archery Federation

3. 2017 We established Police Archery club in Lagos

4. 2017 we organized training workshop for police team in Lagos at Police College

5. 2017 we participated in TIZOCATA - (West African Championship)/Cote D’ Ivoire Grand Prix in Yamoussoukro, a suburb city of Abidjan and won a complementary Gold and 2 Silver medals.

6. In 2017, we were supported by the World Archery with 6 sets of Recurve Bows,

7. 2018 The President (Mohammed B. Abdullahi) became Executive Board member of World Archery Africa

8. 2019, in March we organized Archery Training workshop for Nigeria Armed Forces, Police and Civil Defense Corps in Abuja. At the workshop we have more than 100 Archers from 12 States of Nigeria

9. Again in April 2019 we organized another Archery Training workshop for Nigeria Armed Forces, Police and Civil Defence Corps in Abuja. At the workshop we have more than 60 Archers from another 6 States State of Nigeria

10. 2019 in October, we demonstrated Archery at the 3rd edition of the Youth Games in Ilorin, where more than 100 youth from 25 States of Nigeria participated.


11. 2020 in February, we organized developmental workshop in Abuja specifically for Military, sponsored by the Defence Headquarter, where more than 100 participants attended the Workshop from all over Nigeria.


12. As of today we have members from all over Nigerian States; to mention few Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Edo, Imo, Benue, Plateau, FCT, Benue, Kogi, Niger, Bayelsa, Delta, Enugu, Ebonyi, Cross River, Kwara, Sokoto, Zamfara, Bauchi, Anambra and besides that Police, Army, Navy, Air Force, Civil Defence Corps and Road Safety Corps are now our Members.

13. In 2020, Archery was officially demonstrated at the occasion of 2020 Police Games in Awka, Anambra State. Two disciplines took place at the demonstration i.e Recurve Bow and Standard Bow events for both men and women events.

14. 2020, election for new executive board was successfully conducted and new executives are now in place for the next 4 years
